It was the first country since India where I really felt like I was properly back in the swing of being on the road a lot – and I absolutely loved it.     Postcards Home – Week 45

    To my dearest friends, family and fellow culture cravers,

    This week has been my last week in The Philippines. After reluctantly waving goodbye to Malapascua Island, we headed South of Cebu to Moalboal – a small town renowned for its exceptional snorkelling and vibrant azure waterfalls.

    On our first day we rented a moped to explore the areas hot springs as well as, the famous Kawasan Falls.

    Postcards Home – Week 44

    To my dearest friends, family and fellow culture cravers,

    I began the last week with one of the longest journeys to date (on this trip). Due to a typhoon, which was whirl-winding its way through the North of the Philippines, my 2GO ferry from Coron to Manila was delayed by five hours and then took twenty hours rather than the usual fifteen.

    However, it was nothing a bottle of rum and a few card games couldn’t help us get through.

    To my dearest friends, family and fellow culture cravers,

    This week I have been exploring Palawan Island in the Philippines.

    I arrived in Manila last Tuesday after a few hours flight from Singapore. As I had been warned by a couple of friends that Manila wasn’t their favouriteeee place to travel, I booked a flight straight out of the city the next day to Puerto Princesa on Palawan Island.
